Apple Watch Ultra 3 and 3rd generation Watch SE should be launched in 2025, according to Kuo
Apple appears to have broken the pattern of annual releases for its most advanced smart watch, as there has been no significant update to the line in 2024 — except for the new color option of the Apple Watch Ultra 2. According to a renowned industry analyst, the next generation smartwatch will only be announced in 2025.
Ming-Chi Kuo said this Tuesday (10) that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will be launched next year together with a new generation of the Apple Watch SE, the brand's “cheapest” smartwatch. These two smartwatches are expected to accompany a flagship model, possibly called the Apple Watch Series 11.
There is no certainty as to the precise launch date for the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and 3rd generation Watch SE. Historically, Apple has launched its new smartwatch models in September alongside new iPhone models. The Watch Series 10, for example, debuted alongside the iPhone 16 at an event held on Monday (09).
However, there is still a possibility that Apple will introduce a new smartwatch model in the second quarter of 2025 — which is also the expected launch window for the 4th generation iPhone SE, a more affordable cell phone that should have better design and specifications. based on the iPhone 15 or iPhone 14.
The absence of a new generation of Apple Watch Ultra surprised the public due to the recent launch of the Galaxy Watch Ultra. Comparisons between models are inevitable — not just because of design similarities — and show some advantages of Samsung's smart watch, including battery life.
For this year, the Apple Watch Series 10 is available with minor performance and AI tweaks, as well as larger screens and faster charging. They will arrive on pre-sale with the following suggested prices in Brazil:
- Apple Watch Series 10 (Aluminum)
- 42 millimeters (GPS): R$5,499
- 46 mm (GPS): R$ 5,899
- 42 mm (GPS + Cellular): R$ 6,799
- 46 mm (GPS + Cellular): R$ 7,199
- Apple Watch Series 10 (Titanium)
- 42 millimeters (GPS + Cellular): R$ 9,299
- 46 mm (GPS + Cellular): R$ 9,899
